We're just getting started with FCearth and still discovering what the soccer world needs and what it doesn't.

As soccer players what are some features/events/charities etc. that you would like added or FCearth involved with?

We need your feedback.

Cheers,

Jeff and Adam

finding local teams

possibly a list of local leagues and how to register, or links to find out how to register in ones city, wherever it may be. Kinda tough request, but I felt the forum open for ideas.......break out the brainstorm chart and beers.

Derek,

Excellent idea. I know when I've moved to a new city that's one of the hardest things to find. It would take some research, but very doable.

thanks for the input.

It would be cool to view the members by city/state. I know there's only like 60 members right now so its not a big deal to look through them but I noticed there wasn't a feature to view members in your area.

Here's an idea, I don't know if its too much but i think it would be cool so here it goes-
How about a section where one can see whats going on with soccer around the world, like game times and game scores, for FIFA, MLS, etc... maybe even with discussion boards so we can comment on the games, past and upcoming.

Mike,

That's actually a great point, and one were working on. The advanced search is good, but we're trying to make it even easier to find people. The "groups" app is nice, because if people join in your area, then you can communicate pretty easily with everyone through there. Our FCearth Newport Beach has the most members so far, and it's been great for getting a hold of everyone.

Great advice.

As for the MLS and FIFA scores, were also working on a way to simply organize all that info so you won't have to scour the internet and our site to find everything.

I am not sure if you have this on the site already, and maybe I missed it, but you should have groups that people can join, so people can join groups by their favorite teams. You could have MLS, National, European leagues, etc. And people could join multiple groups within, i.e. Galaxy, Man U, Iran National team. Then people could connect and chat with each other within their groups.

ZZucker, your in luck, it's already there for you! We have five groups so far, we're hoping our members start and join different groups as you see fit. Here's the link for starting your own:

Start your own group.

Looks like Mr. Zucker has taken the initiative to start the USMNT group! Timing couldn't be better and I've got a helluva topic to kick 'er off...

Great feedback from everyone; Mr. Carboni, I am working hard to get more members in Portland, we're have had the most interest outside of SoCal, so stay tuned!

just get real and do it

Want improvement? A century ago as America’s eastern cities overpopulated it was, “Go west, young man.” For soccer a century later the trumpet sounds the same. Only going west means tracking back to the previous western frontier. In mainland Europe. Or at least that’s what Simon Kuper believes and writes in his and economist Stefan [...]

Upsets galore in ACC Tournament quarterfinals

With the remnants of Tropical Storm Ida pouring heavy rains in Cary, North Carolina, the stage was set for upsets in the ACC Tournament quarterfinals on Wednesday. Three lower seeds knocked off higher seeds to set up a pair of semifinals few would have predicted. North Carolina State had the upset of the day, knocking off No. 2 seed North Carolina in penalty kicks. After the team's played to a scoreless tie in regulation, NC State goalkeeper Chris Widman stepped up with two penalty saves and his own converted penalty kick to help give the No. 7 seed Wolfpack a...
